Meet me, Benjamin Eeles (he/him)
I started my journey into counselling when I was around the age of fourteen. I had received counselling for multiple years from the age of eight after the loss of my father when I was six. I decided, once finishing my sessions with my counsellor, David, that I would like to help people the way that he helped me. This was where I took my leap. I instantly began looking into Health and Social Care, as a potential route into counselling, and after completing my school’s Health and Social Care qualification, I went to Halesowen College, where I completed a Health and Social Care Level Three Extended Diploma, which included a unit on Counselling. I then moved straight onto a Level Three Counselling course which I did alongside a Foundation Degree in Health and Social Care. I then took a couple of years out of education to gain some life experience, and later returned to complete my Level 5 Therapeutic Counselling course, which gave me the experience of working with a range of different clients, leading me to create Benjamin Eeles Counselling, my own private practice at the age of 26.
You may have gone your entire life not talking about the things that matter to you, or are someone who is comfortable discussing those things with no issues whatsoever. I am here to listen to anyone who is ready to talk. Do you find yourself getting angry and frustrated about things that usually wouldn't bother you? Or is there something from your past that you feel is hindering your ability to have a positive present? We can work on these issues together to help improve the quality of your life and mood.
I provide a safe, caring space for you to process your emotions, where you can talk about anything that you feel is holding you back, bothering you, or deserves recognition. I'm an integrative counsellor who mainly uses a person-centred approach, as well as using some parts of gestalt therapy to bring it all together.
It is time to relieve yourself of the pressures of life, ask yourself "do I deserve to be listened to?" I can guarantee you, the answer is yes. Take the leap.
I like to encourage my client's to take the lead in sessions and talk about what is important to them at the time. I do my sessions in a counselling room provided by St. Laurence Pastoral Centre in Northfield, B31.
